Issue 4 2024
This year's CCCJ Maple Leaf Gala was held in the Orchard Room of The Okura, Tokyo
Presentations were given by: Marc Bolduc, CCCJ Chair; Myaku Myaku, the EXPO2025 Mascot; and Annamarie Sasagawa, CCCJ Vice Chair
Canadian Ambassador to Japan Ian McKay
Sadaaki Numata, Chair, CCCJ’s Honorary Board of Advisors
It was an opportunity for socializing, networking and good conversation – all accompanied by excellent food and drink
Our Events Committee Chair Asa Nakano helped along the raffles. The Grand Prize winner received his prize from Kiyo Weiss, Senior Director of Sales APAC, Air Canada, Ambassador McKay and Olympian special guests Christa and Kelly Deguchi.
Music and entertainment was provided by:
The multi-award winning Viorica Lozov & TEAM (Tokyo Elite Artists Music); by Daikagura performer Michiyo Kagami; and ending with music from DJ Silverfox, when people took to the floor. There was even nijikai for those who wanted more.
