The Chamber held a second mentoring seminar online on June 15 with twenty-five participants, featuring discussions led by Ken Tang, a manager at recruitment firm Robert Walters, and CCCJ Executive Director Noriko Ishida. Tang’s session featured tips for job searches and focused on which skills are currently the most desirable in Japan. A willingness to take on different roles—including ones you may not be used to—was cited as a positive trait. The most essential skill to have when finding a job in Japan, Tang mentioned, is the ability to work in English. Ishida discussed her personal experiences and point of view, including how she got started at the CCCJ.
