Deep Sky is a Canadian carbon removal company developing large-scale Direct Air Capture and storage projects. Through its technology-agnostic platform, Deep Sky deploys multiple DAC technologies in real operating conditions, building the shared infrastructure required to move carbon removal from laboratory concept to industrial reality. Deep Sky Alpha, located in Innisfail, Alberta, is the world’s first cross-technology DAC commercialization and innovation center.

Bradley Brunton is a Canadian with a passion for Japanese culture and international business. Following studies at the University of Calgary he now works for one of Canada’s top public affairs firms. “As a CCCJ member, I look forward to building connections with people engaged in Canadian business in Japan.”
Jiachen Lu works in the corporate strategy team at Pan Pacific International Holdings Corp. (operator of Don Quijote stores), focusing on its overseas branches. “I joined CCCJ to connect with the Canadian business community in Japan and to seek opportunities in Canada-Japan trade. I look forward to connecting with members and getting involved.”

Mayu Isoi recently spoke at a CCCJ event where she met several Board members. “I was deeply impressed by the openness, professionalism and collaborative spirit of the community,” she says. An advisor to companies on HR leadership, hiring and talent strategy, she adds: “Working across cultures has shaped my passion for effective communication, team leadership and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. I look forward to connecting with and contributing to the CCCJ community.”
Koichi (Richard) Okamoto is a Tokyo-based business advisor with 30+ years’ experience supporting international companies in Japan. He founded an accounting/advisory firm that was later integrated into Ernst & Young Japan, where he was a member of the partner leadership group. Having served as statutory auditor and director for several foreign-affiliated companies in Japan he has a wide range of practical experience. He has a growing interest in Canada (where his children now reside) and is considering establishing a base in Vancouver.
Marisha Wojciechowska-Shibuya is an international policy consultant and author whose work spans several fields. As a water policy advisor she has authored several reports for the UN and other international organizations. She is co-founder of the Elevate podcast, and author of the children’s book series My Globetrotter Book and My Bodytrotter Book. As a CCCJ member, she looks forward to exchanging ideas and contributing to conversations shaping the future of business, science and sustainable development.
